MTA:SA - one of many GTA multiplayer developments - was released on the team's official website yesterday. This mod is based entirely on racing - no guns. I haven't had a chance to play it yet, so I'll direct you towards PlanetGTA's review which provides detailed info on what MTA:SA has to offer.
