Exercise
Los Santos Gym is open 24 hours a day and is fully equipped with a treadmill, free weights, bench press and stationary bike. The famous Los Santos Gym in Ganton doesn't have aerobics or pilates classes. Go hard or go home. Raw, gritty and full of history, great prize fighters have come here to train over the years.
At the gym, CJ can drop excess fat, increase muscle by improving his overall stamina and physique. A good physique will increase CJ's sex appeal and respect.
Every gym in San Andreas has a trainer on staff that CJ can spar with to learn a particular fighting style or new moves. Hook up with a personal trainer at the LS gym and you'll be ripped in no time.
Choose a piece of equipment or activity at the gym to start working out. Engaging each piece of equipment at repeated "intervals" will reduce Fat and increase Muscle. For example, one "interval" is equal to about 14 seconds of cycling or running on the treadmill. Select a difficult setting before beginning a workout. Note: level of difficulty can be adjusted during CJ's workout.
Basketball
Basketball is the #1 sport in the state of San Andreas. Public basketball courts are scattered around San Andreas. Not far from Grove Street, CJ often will practice his outside shot at a court that borders on Balla territory, so it's safer to end practice by the time night falls.
If you find a basketball on a court in Los Santos, take the opportunity to take a few practice shots. Shoot, and release at the peak of the jump for maximum accuracy. To shoot again, walk over to the ball and pick it back up again.
Hint: Make sure to hold and release within the appropriate time. It's more important to get the timing right, than worry about facing the basket. CJ will automatically turn and face the basket when shooting.
Basketball Challenge: You must try and make as many baskets as possible before the time expires. A red marker will appear on the court. Stand inside and shoot the ball. The Basketball challenge starts with 1 minute on the clock. For each shot made, 15 seconds is added to the clock. After each shot sunk, the red marker moves to a new location.
